Lighting Fires for Homeschoolers

Homeschool thoughts

Just wanted to let you all know that the special classes for Homeschool Day are almost all full.  I am putting a link to the pdf (schedule update) of the update on the classes.  The times in red are totally sold out and the others only have a few openings left.  There will be other things to do in the city but once these classes are filled that is it, first come, first serve.  Make sure to get your homeschool friends to sign up!

We are really looking forward to this years events.  We hope to see you there!

Preschoolers E-Book is a wonderful book for mom’s who are looking to homeschool and have preschoolers and even kindergarten age children!  It is written by different authors but you will find so much help in this 85 page book!!

It starts out explaining how to teach your little ones.  As we all know we start teaching our little ones from the very beginning with our voices before they are born and then by little things that we do from the time they are born.  But as they grow closer to school age the more they become interested in learning “school things”.  This chapter will help you with new ideas to help that little one to learn more.

One of my favorite chapters was the one on field trips.  Everyone enjoys a good field trip and that also includes our preschoolers.  It was good to hear that our kids don’t have to be perfect to be able to go on a field trip too.

Another interesting chapter as on chores.  This has been a struggle for even my older kids but with some of the ideas presented in this chapter, I’m looking forward to seeing if we can’t get this more under control.

Only have one little one.  This book has a chapter just for you!!  It also has a chapter on multi-teaching.

Are you looking for creative ways to teach your preschooler?  This e-book has some great ideas.  Clean ideas for those that don’t like messy houses and some very messy ideas that kids love!  It also has ideas how to keep your preschoolers occupied while teaching your other kids or doing that housework that seems to always need attention.

This is a handy book for preschool moms and I highly recommend it!  I am even using ideas from it for my handicapped kindergarten that is more in the preschool area of his learning.

Prepare for what is coming.  Starting in February you won’t be able to get stuff for children under the age of 12 at resale stores!  Books, clothes, and toys are all in this list.  Better start looking at anything that you might need now!
