This book is full of encouragement and helps that I can’t say enough about. Our children are precious and need us to bring them up to be able to face this sin filled world and this wonderful 98 page book will help you along this journey!

Our children are as little flowers in the garden and as Mrs. Washburn will explain, we need to water, protect and groom them for the future so they can bloom brighter than any other flower in their midst. No things won’t ever be perfect, but with the help of our Lord we are able to guide our little seedlings so they can grow and bloom.

As mentioned above she also gives helps for traveling with our children and making life fun. All families need that time away to enjoy and regroup. She has made lists to help make these trips cheap and enjoyable and the packing to go as easily as possible.

This is part of the Management for Moms Series. This is a terrific series that every mom needs to have in her library. This is an awesome book to help you in keeping your homeschool running smoothly.

She starts out telling how to plan for your school year. To make your school year run smoother, there needs to be some pre-planning and getting everyone on the same page.

How to handle your school day and how things are done? The second chapter is awesome and very helpful.

Do you misplace things? Don’t know what to do with things? There is a whole chapter dealing with this!

Then comes the Paper Monster chapter!! If you are like me, I keep almost every single thing that my kids do!! Then you have all the other paper things that come in the mail. She goes through each type of paper that you might possibly have and what you should do with it. Yes, we in MO need to have a portfolio, but does that mean keep EVERYTHING?

Do you get to mid year and not know what to do? She goes through this in depth. Not just with schooling but even in maintaining the house. She shows us how to not let things get in the way and bog us down. Love this section!!!

The next section is a MIGHTY section for us homeschoolers!!! Keeping the HOME in Homeschooling: Dealing with extra-curricular. Wow!!! Again, Wow!!! I know we want to give our children the very best and every advantage possible. But do you see yourself coming and going at the same time? She goes through and helps you see how to not spend all your time pushing here and there and outside of the home. Remember what is IMPORTANT!!!

Another thing I love about this book is that she talks to the “Homeschool Vet”. When our last child is finished, does that mean that we are put out to pasture? What called us to homeshooling in the first place? She shows us how we can continue our calling but in a different way.

Another super book in the Management for Moms Series. Again, this book can be used not only as a personal help book but to teach your children for their future!

Another awesome book in the Management for Moms Series. Each of these books are so helpful and easy to use. They are small but fully of wonderful helpful tips and information. Mrs. Washburn has been a wife and mother of 5 boys. She isn’t a stranger to family life. These books would make wonderful gifts to your children as they grow up and leave home and start their own families.

If you are like a lot of homeschoolers, we love to celebrate at the drop of a hat. Who doesn’t love to have fun and find excuses to eat? However, these celebrations can put a lot of stress on a mother. This adds extra load to a mother job of cleaning, cooking, decorating and organizing everything. This book goes into how to enjoy these special days without being stressed out.

The first thing she goes into is Cramped Hospitality. Wow, when you read she had a 3 bedroom home and 5 boys, it doesn’t sound to bad. But now with all those boys gone and married and she says with them alone there is 22 people in their home, she had to get creative with where to put everyone. The topics she covers in this area is:

Another amazing section is the tips for making the holidays easier. She goes into detail of different things that will help:

Another awesome section is on manners. Wow, what an amazing section to! She goes into detail how to set a beautiful table, how you serve at the table and proper etiquette.

The last part of the book is her special recipes that she so graciously shares with us.

This awesome book is a household MUST!! So many times we run out to buy fast food so that we can save time, but this is not only expensive, but not healthy for us. We hear how obesed and unhealthy our nation is now days, well, this will help you get that health, money and enjoyable meals back on your table.

Mrs. Washburn has done an excellent job of helping us taking the guessing out of how we should stock our kitchen to help us be more efficient in our home preparing meals.
