Let me introduce ourselves to you. Twenty 21 years ago, my husband, Michael and I were asked to take over MATCH. After talking to one of our closest friends and praying, we felt we were to take this on. We had NEVER done anything like this so we were totally new at it and made loads of mistakes. But we have enjoyed meeting so many new friends and learning so much along this journey. We have 3 children here on Earth with us, James (29), Abigail (18) and our special needs son, Milton (15) and his service dog, Suzy. We have homeschooled since we adopted our son, James in 1996. We have had our highs and lows but God has been faithful through it all. Michael works full time as the top IT personal at our local electric co-op. I am a full time wife, mother, homeschooler, MATCH director and anything else that gets dropped on my plate.

None of us on the MATCH board are paid. We are all volunteers that do this for a labor of love. We want to be an encouragement to you on this journey through homeschooling. We are in the process of doing some major changes to our website. We have a regular site and then a Members Only site that we try to maintain as we can. We put a monthly newsletter out to our members. What you are seeing is a sample of the newsletters our members get. Fireside Helps is published monthly on our Members Only site.

What is the benefit of being a member? There are several but one of the big ones is the members always find out the information first before everyone else. Our events are open to the members first and then to the public. Several of the events have a limited number of openings, so we try to give our members that benefit. Our members also get a special site just for them with lots of additional helps. We are getting ready to redo our Online Convention and there will be a lot available only to our members, there.

We hope that you will check out our newsletter and site and join us. You don’t have to be from Missouri to be a member! We are Missouri based and most of our stuff is geared towards Missouri, but we have people all over the world that are members. So, everyone is welcome. Membership is $25/year unless you join during special promotions throughout the year and then those are $15/year.
